Today we’d like to introduce you to Darleen (a.k.a. “Coach Dar”) Santore.
Thanks for sharing your story with us, Darleen (a.k.a. “Coach Dar”). So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
When I was 16, my grandfather was in rehab from a stroke, and an occupational therapist came in to help him. When I saw them working with him, I knew that’s what I wanted to do because the therapists treated mind, body, and spirit. When I graduated from high school, I went to Syracuse and got my degree in occupational therapy.
